Influenced by the Modernist movement, this California contemporary design is grand in faade and comfortable to live in. Stone, siding, and shingles dress the exterior in tandem with huge window areas and a clever walled patio just at the entry. A two-story foyer opens to the formal dining room (also two-story) and the great room. Decorative columns help define these spaces. A curved wall of glass overlooking a rear patio brightens the great room; the dining room opens to the front patio through double doors. The butlers pantry connects the dining room to an island kitchen and casual nook.
The left wing of the main level contains a home office with curved window wall and the master suite, which has a salon with curved window wall and bath with spa tub and walk-in closet.
Two family bedrooms share the upper level with a library with built-ins. Each upper-level bedroom has its own bath and walk-in closet. Note the three-car garage and the use of art glass in this design.
